Enjoy this half-day or full-day activity in one of the most scenic places of Cusco. Huaypo Lake is located at 3,500 m close to Maras and Chinchero. It is a great outdoor activity plus it will let you see people in their communities doing their daily tasks in the agricultural fields, cattle raising or weaving.
There is a Variety of flora and fauna near the lake. One of the most common veggetations is the Totora reed which makes an ideal nesting place for different types of ducks and birds. The lake also holds some fish called Pejerrey. Some fishermen still make totora reed boats for their fishing task at Huaypo.
