DAY 1: ARRIVAL TO CUSCO
We will meet at the Velazco Astete airport to pick you up and transfer you to the Hotel in
Urubamba, the capital of the Sacred Valley, where we will stay for the next nights. The
Sacred Valley (2,700 m) is lower tan Cusco city (3,300) and has the highest concentration of
trails. After settling in your hotel we will head for lunch to get a taste of the world
famous Peruvian cousine.
After lunch we will build bikes and go for some shuttled riding near URUBAMBA.

DAY 2: CRUZPATA, MARAS AND MORAY
After breakfast we will shuttle close to Maras, a place full of attractions for everyone and with such great views of the Sacred Valley down below. Our first ride will start in Cruzpata and we will have to pedal all the way to the ancient trail that passes through the Inca Salt Terraces a place where salt has been extracted from the ground since the Inca period. Our second ride is a similar but shorter trail in this área. We will head have a gourmet picnic lunch at Huaypo Greens next to Huaypo Lake, a piece of Paradise owned by one of our guides. We are sure you will have the best Quinoa dish in a life time and enjoy many typical Peruvian food.
After lunch we will hit a trail that passes by a plateau on top of the Moray Inca Agricultural Lab, a higly visited place. Of course we will get THE BEST view of Moray, a view the vast majority misses. This site is at the beggining of the second ride, the trail a couple minutes from the site has been totally restored by our Trail Mantainance Team on march 2018. The result is called “Fairway to Heaven” one of the funnest trails around.

DAY 2: OLLANTYTAMBO PATACANCHA AND AVALANCHE
Today we get really busy riding our bikes. We shuttle to Ollantaytambo and drive passing a weavers community to a high altitude pass and we ride towards the east in direction to mountain range pass and drop back to the valley passing through Willoc town were people still use typical customs on a daily basis and their major activities are agriculture, weaving and handcrafts. This is one of the few places regular visitors don’t get to see. We will have lunch on a restaurant very close to Ollantaytambo and head to Malaga Pass at 4,600 to ride the AVALANCHE TRAIL.

DAY 4: YUCAY AND LARES
The district next to us is Yucay and hosts the Yucay Arqueologycal Park with multiple and huge Inca Terraces. We will pedal close to them and take a look at a rupestre Paint made thousand of years ago by human being as well as the multiple terraces the Incas built to grow food. This place has one of the richest soils in the Sacred Valley as well as multiple conditions that made it a sacred place to do agricultura. The terraces end on the two main parks that are divided by one of the biggest colonial churches in the área. Lunch will be at the YUCAY park and we will shuttle to Calca to ride Lares from the pass at 4460M, a classic ride that drops to the Sacred Valley.

DAY 5: PUMAHUANCA AND RACHI
Pumahuanca is a wáter basin NE from Urubamba. We will pedal a Little in the área locals go out during the week. This spot is full of wild life and has great views of the Sacred Valley. On the lower part of Pumahuanca is SOL Y LUNA HOTEL, owner of Wayra restaurante that will hold the typical “SACRED VALLEY DEGUSTATION LUNCH” for us combined with a Peruvian Paso Horse show.
After Lunch we will shuttle to Rachi to ride another locals favorite. At the endy of the day guides will help packing bikes.

DAY 6: MACHUPICCHU OR FREEDAY
Machu Picchu is not included on the trip but is strongly recommended to visit. Holy Trails will provide a transfer from Urubamba to Ollantaytambo train station back and forth for the hotel or accomodation w estay at. We have OTHER ACTIVITIES that you could do during this freeday. At the end of the day we are moving to Cusco City to pass our last night.Of course we will go for dinner and celebrate the epic days we just had.
Day 7: FAREWELL
We are offering a shuttle to the Cusco airport at the time that best suites you. If you are planning to stay more days, this shuttle can be used for the day you leave. Check our add-ons to stay more days.

Born in Lima and riding since he is 14 years old. Christian has been a DH racer for many years and has collected some National DH titles. Now he is fascinated with riding long trails that start next to glaciers.
“Juancho” started biking only 5 years ago and is totally in love with MTB. He definitely is our guide riding the most kms a year. Juan has a perfect english and loves bike mechanics.
Hans is a Pioneer of MTB in Cusco and cofounder of Holy Trails. He lives in our favorite place on earth, The Sacred Valley of the Incas in Cusco. Hans is constantly exploring and riding Paradise. A background in tourism and a fluid english makes him our main man at Cusco.
Diego “Pacifico” is our main man and has been riding since 1996. On 2002 he started Racing Downhill and has collected several national titles. Founded Holy Trails in 2002. Diego has discovered and restored 2 of our secret trails and has been organizing Santisimo Downhill an iconic race for 9 years; also owner and operator of BIKESHOP.
